In everyone’s life comes the moment when we think about the old truth that everything has a beginning and an end. This is the time when we learn to appreciate the moments spent with our close ones and the truly happy moments spend with the people we love. We realize that there is no greater wealth than to have beautiful memories to turn to and to know that one day you will also remain in someone’s memories when you have finished your earthly journey. The loss of a loved one is always difficult for the bereaved, but everyone knows that they will continue to live with the thought of the one who has left them, and that they can continue returning to the place where they have said their last “ Goodbye” to be left alone with their own memories. We believe that these moments help the closest ones to continue their own journeys, despite the grief. Therefore, our goal at “St Archangel Michael Cemetery” is to provide an eternal resting place for the deceased and maximum comfort and tranquility for the visitors in the best maintained cemetery park in the country.
The Board of the church “St. Archangel Michael “consists of five members with the chairman Archpriest Nikolay Nikolov. In its activities the Board is supported by church organizations such as the Orthodox Christian Brotherhoods and others. Its main priority is the legal management of the church and all organizational issues.
Orthodox Cemetery Park “St. Archangel Michael” is located in the southern part of the capital, at the foot of Vitosha Mountain and in close proximity to the Boyana cemeteries, where many public figures, residents of the city of Sofia, have found their eternal rest. This is the first of its kind cemetery complex in Bulgaria, built entirely with private capital, fully complying with European standards.
